About Us

Anne Richardson publishes the online resource, Oregon Movies, A to Z. She has an MFA in film from Columbia University and has taught film at CUNY, Linfield, PSU and Northwest Film Center.. With Dennis Nyback, she founded Oregon Cartoon Institute in 2007. With Dennis Nyback, she co-curated the Oregon Sesquicentennial Film Festival at Marylhurst in 2009.

Dennis Nyback is an independent film archivist whose programs have been commissioned by Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Houston Museum of Art, Jacob Burns Film Center, Experience Music Project, and many other schools, museums and film festivals here and abroad. With Anne Richardson, he founded
Oregon Cartoon Institute in 2007. With Anne Richardson, he co-curated the Oregon Sesquicentennial Film Festival at Marylhurst in 2009.

Bill Crawford’s interest in Oregon animation and cartooning history extends to the present. He recently profiled Portland comics industry for Oregon Business Magazine. He directed the Gold Coyote Super Short Film & Video Competition at the Oregon Sesquicentennial Film Festival at Marylhurst in 2009.

Pter McLean is a freelance creative (ptermclean.com) from the northern borders of Upper Michigan. When other kids were asking to do what “normal kids” do during the summer, Pter was asking to go to animation camp at Disney Studios. This lead to his two degrees in animation and design and landed him his first gig with TrainMaster and Union Pacific modeling 3d worlds. He has also been a huge fan of cartoons since a young age with influences such as Genndy Tartakovsky, Bill Plympton, Don Hertzfeldt, studio ghibli, Katsuhiro Otomo and an enormous other list of huge influences. Pter currently lives and works in Portland, ORE.
