Oregon Cartoon Institute is a colloquium of individuals and organizations who share an interest in preserving Oregon's rich animation and cartooning history.
Oregon Cartoon Institute was founded by
Dennis Nyback and Anne Richardson after discovering, during the
making of The Portland That
Was, how few Oregonians know the riches of their own history
when it comes to animation and cartooning.
Using current Oregonians animation artists and cartoonists as guides, the Institute will explore the historic role Oregonian animation artists and cartoonists have played in the creation of American popular culture. |
